Laird, Rod. Personal interview. 26 Jan. 2008. On this date two scouts, my scoutmaster, and myself met with Rod Laird. Rod is a local history buff and a member of the local museum. We met with Rod to discuss the story and to do research. We took pictures of a rifle similar to the one used in the shootings, ammunition similar to type used in shooting, and melted glass aspirin bottle containing gold that was gathered by the murderer and found melted in the cabin fire.
Perue, Dick. Personal interview. 31 Jan. 2008. On this date two other scouts, my scoutmaster, and I met with Dick Perue. Dick is a local historian and photographer. With Dick we gathered useful information and scanned photos for the project.
